oad users in the capital may use different means of transportation, but they all face the same challenge on the road: potholes.

Besides making motorists' journeys uncomfortable, some potholes increase the risk of traffic accidents. The city's poor drainage system and excessive traffic are often blamed for issues relating to road maintenance.

Complaints related to road maintenance can be addressed to @PoskoDPUDKI, the Twitter account of the city's Public Works Agency, which now has 5,800 followers.

Here we present a number of locations in the five municipalities that are prone to potholes.

Central Jakarta

Despite the fact that Central Jakarta is the country's business and government hub, there is no guarantee that its roads are silky smooth.

Jl. Jendral Sudirman, one of its main thoroughfares, still has potholes on some sections. Residents usually place a branch of trees in the potholes to show the damage on the road.

Besides potholes, uneven lids of water sewage like in the Senayan business district also complicate matters for motorists.

Roads around Tanah Abang market and Tanah Abang train station also beg for attention. They are bumpy, so cars and motorcycles should take extra care. ' JP
