The West Manggarai regency administration in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has been criticized for not involving tour operators in the Sail Komodo event.
The event, which will see hundreds of cruise ships from across the globe set sail off the waters of Labuan Bajo, was launched on May 8 by NTT Governor Frans Lebu Raya. Its grand finale is slated for Sept. 14.
Your comments:
NTT will never be prepared as long as the focus of government officials is on stealing money.
It is not for nothing that Transparency International selects Kupang, NTT as the most corrupt city in Indonesia year after year. That is the reason Kupang and NTT in general remain the most undeveloped city/province in the country.
Basic infrastructure (electricity, roads, potable water, health facilities etc.) is severely lacking or does not work because funds for their operation and maintenance are stolen. Time to wake up people of NTT!
