T Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) plans to evict vendors from Cawang station in East Jakarta.
'Tomorrow at 7 a.m. we will begin evictions. The information was disseminated to all vendors and kiosk owners in early April,' KAI spokesman Sukendar Mulya told The Jakarta Post on Friday.
There are 19 kiosks at the station. Eight owners have voluntarily demolished their kiosks and the train operator will remove the rest tomorrow. Some kiosk owners still reject the eviction plan.
'We have held intensive talks with them and I hope tomorrow's operation runs peacefully and the traders are cooperative,' he said.
