AKARTA: Police say that they know who two of the men are who beat up a Kompas TV journalist on May 12.
'There are six people with three motorbikes, but only two who assaulted the journalist. The police already know the identities of the two,' Jakarta Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said on Monday.
Rikwanto acknowledged that police were still in the dark about the suspects' whereabouts, saying that the men were from Pademangan, North Jakarta. 'The two have already fled [....] It is just a matter of time. The police will find them soon,' Rikwanto said.
Kompas TV journalist Harko Setiono, 24, had just finished covering a story when he drove past the men on his motorcycle near BMW Park in Pademangan, North Jakarta. The men then pursued and assaulted him.
