tate-owned oil firm Pertamina attracted visitors to its booth by holding a photo session with a race car and announcing a tree-planting program on Twitter.
As the company supports Indonesian racer Rio Heryanto, Pertamina had a booth featuring the car used by the Barwa Addax team member and invited visitors to take their pictures in a racing costume. Dozens waited patiently for their turn to don the fire-resistant coveralls and pose like Rio Haryanto in front of the car.
Another attraction was the 100 million tree program that the company announced on Twitter. During the event, visitors could post messages to the social networking site through an LCD monitor at the booth.
Established in 2011, the program aims to plant 100 million trees by 2015. People can donate a tree by writing two tweets with the #100jutapohon hashtag or by liking the program's Facebook page facebook.com/100JutaPohon. People can write as many tweets as they want under the condition that they do have pornographic content or offend any race, ethnicity, religion or intergroup affiliation.
The trees will be planted within one year and public can read the report on the initiative's official website (100jutapohon.com) in early 2014.
