he IPA reached out to the younger generation at this year's INPEX, with photography and essay-writing contests held in partnership with The Jakarta Post's SPEAK! magazine for young people.
A total of 10 finalists were chosen from the 99 entries in the essay contest ' addressing either of two industry related topics, and invited to the final day of the INPEX for a writing workshop conducted by the Post.
The winner of the first topic addressing the views of young people on the oil and gas industry was Eveline Yuniarti of Santa Ursula High School, BSD Tangerang. She received the Rp 8 million top prize.
The winner in the second topic selection addressing how the contribution of the younger generation can be optimized for sustainable development of the oil and gas industry was Yohanes Paulus Bisma from National University of Singapore. He also received Rp 8 million as the winner.
Eran Williams, the regional English Language officer at the US Embassy in Jakarta, assisted with the judging of the essays.
