The reform era stopped after the politicians managed to expel Soeharto from the presidency on May 21, 1998.
There has been no progress to make Indonesia a developed country since.
After 15 years, we Indonesians need to seriously think about what should be done for the future of the nation.
Will we still proceed with business as usual? There is massive corruption at both the central and local government levels.
Officials seem powerless to solve the majority's arbitrary treatment of minorities and there is still no legal certainty for business in the nation.
The progress of reform in Indonesia has fallen far short of our expectations.

Fifteen years of reform has definitely been for the good.
Sadly, we are lacking action on some fronts, such as religious tolerance, eradication of corruption and implementation of laws on land and infrastructure.
