ransjakarta has opened two new feeder routes connecting Bekasi to Tanah Abang and the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle in Central Jakarta, a top official has said.
At a ceremony on Tuesday, Jakarta Transportation Agency chief Udar Pristono said that each route would be served by 10 buses that could accommodate up to 5,700 passengers per trip.
'Each trip will take about 90 minutes,' Pristono said during the launch at the Dukuh Atas Transjakarta shelter in Central Jakarta.
Fares for the new service, which will be available between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m., range from Rp 5,000 (51 US cents) to Rp 6,500.
Transjakarta previously launched feeder routes connecting Pulogadung in East Jakarta and Bekasi (15 buses); Poris Plawad in Tangerang, Bintaro in South Tangerang and Grogol in West Jakarta (10 buses); Ciputat in South Tangerang and Kota, West Jakarta, (eight buses); Cibinong in Bogor regency and Grogol, West Jakarta, (10 buses); and Bogor and Rawamangun, East Jakarta (10 buses).
