Official says 537 senior high students failed national exams in Jambi

n official with the Jambi Education Agency has revealed that 537 senior high schoolstudents failed their national examinations; 11 from vocational high schoolsand 526 from senior high schools and Islamic high schools.

Head of the medium education and special education division of Jambi Education Agency Abdul Mukti said the biggest number of failing students were in the social science major with 399 students,
followed by the science major with 102 students and Islamic high schools with 25 students.

According to the agency only the language major registered 100 percent of students passing the exams, closely followed by science major with 99.07 percent and social science major with 97.87 percent.

'As for the vocational high schools, they registered 99.89 percent of their students passing the exams,' he said.(dic)
