ducation and Culture Minister Mohammad Nuh visited the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Wednesday evening to hand over an investigative report on alleged irregularities in the 2012 budget for his ministry's culture directorate general.

According to Nuh, the report was delivered directly to KPK chairman Abraham Samad. Nuh said the report had no connection with the delay of the senior high school national exams. 'It's not about that [the national exam]; there was no violation in UN [national exam],' said Nuh as quoted by kompas.com.

Previously, the ministry's inspector general, Haryono Umar, said he had found several alleged irregularities, including questionable budget markups totaling Rp 700 billion (US$71.2 million) in the culture directorate general. (nai)
