ive public minivan drivers allegedly killed a fellow driver in Beji, Depok, over the weekend.

Deputy chief of the Depok municipal police Adj. Sr. Comt. A.M. Kamal said on Tuesday that Eka Praditia Maulana, a 22-year-old public minivan driver serving the Depok-Lebak Bulus route, died after being beaten to death by five other drivers who identified themselves as 'The Doctor Gang'.

'The killing was triggered when the victim was involved in a traffic incident whereby he overtook DP, a member of the gang, when both were driving from Depok to Lebak Bulus on Saturday,' he said.

DP then allegedly called the other four members of the gang and plotted to take action against Eka.

Kamal explained that the killing took place on Saturday night, when the gang met Eka and brought him by force in a public minivan to several locations where he was beaten to death.

The beating allegedly took around two hours and the victim was left in a car wash facility on Jl Tanah Baru.

The police carried out an investigation after receiving reports of the victim's body early on Sunday.
