Information about a raid by the Jakarta Public Order Agency on transvestites and prostitutes in Taman Lawang, Central Jakarta, may have been leaked, resulting in only a few suspects being apprehended.
The raid was conducted along Jl. Latuharhari, Jl. Sumenep and around the Taman Lawang Park in Central Jakarta at the break of dawn on Wednesday. Thirty-five public order officers were deployed to arrest transvestites and prostitutes operating openly in the area.

That business has been around for thousands of years and no legal action is ever going to stop it.

Perhaps the time was wrongly chosen. Clients usually are more interested at the end of a day/evening and less at dawn. Thirty five public order officers could have done a better job in the evening, instead.
Furthermore, in many countries soliciting is considered an offense.
