uki Irawan, facing multiple charges over alleged slave-labor practices at his factory in East Sepatan district, will stand trial soon, once the police have completed his dossier.

Tangerang Police's women and children's protection head, Rolando Hutajulu, said on Tuesday that Yuki's dossier would be sent to the prosecutor's office to bring the suspect and his accomplices to the district court.

'We have almost completed the suspects' dossiers and, once finished, we will immediately deliver them to the prosecutor's office for processing,' he said.

He explained that Yuki and four of his aides at the factory had been charged with enslaving 34 workers, locking them in the factory for months and beating any workers who tried to escape.

'In addition, the suspects will be charged with underpaying employees, employing underaged workers and abusing their human rights.'

Besides Yuki, four members of, identified as Teddy, Rojaya, Sudirman and Nurdin, are also being held as suspects in the case due to their role in assisting their boss in abusing the workers.

The slave-labor practices, which sparked condemnation from all sides, came to light shortly after May Day, when one of the workers managed to escape and reported the abuses to the police.
