A riot erupted at the Indonesian consulate general in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, following a stampede of hundreds of mostly illegal Indonesian migrant workers who were lining up to get exit visas.
The riot, which also killed a female migrant worker from East Java, has tarnished the credibility of the Indonesian government, which failed to respond to the Saudi Arabian government's decision to grant amnesty to illegal foreign workers.
Presidential spokesman for foreign affairs Teuku Faizasyah blamed the workers, whom he said had refused to queue in an orderly manner and had instead made provocative gestures to consulate staff.
Your comments:
Who cares about Indonesia's image? Who cares about its corrupt government, sleeping representatives, mudslides, floods and immoral behavior? Our officials never care about these things anyway.

I'm sure that consular staff didn't help things by asking for illegal payments to facilitate the processing of documents.
They would have been the big winners in this whole affair.
Where are Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo and his deputy?

Who cares about Indonesia's image? If the government really cared, it would manage motorcyclists' behavior in Jakarta.
The way they ride their motorcycles is ridiculous. They reflect the image of all Indonesians. Does the Jakarta administration want to improve this image? Not at all!

Why doesn't the government get its hands dirty? Stop blaming others for nothing. You are talking gibberish.
