asic need commodity prices might increase between five and 10 percent following the rise of the subsidized-fuel price, a senior official says.
"On average, basic commodity prices might rise by 8.2 percent," Deputy Trade Minister Bayu Krisnamurthi said as quoted by kontan.co.id.
Bayu added that the price of basic needs had risen since the start of the 2013 revised state budget (APBN-P) bill deliberation that triggered initial speculation on the potentially rising subsidized-fuel price rate.
The subsidized-fuel price rate has been increased after the government and the House of Representatives agreed to pass the APBN-P bill into law on Monday.
