While a lot of Jakartans either jog or stroll at the Bung Karno Stadium complex, some people in green T-shirts are picking up trash and placing it into their garbage bags.
Their green T-shirts read 'Jakarta Osoji Club'. The second word, in Japanese, means 'cleaning'.
Your comments:
I believe while more Jakartans will join the Jakarta Ojosi Club (JOC) after reading this article (I've shared this article), others, who visit the Bung Karno Stadium on Sunday mornings will treat the activity as a funny show.
The view will be: 'Look at those Japanese picking up trash like they are maids.'
Maybe passersby will take phone pictures of JOC volunteers at work. Worse, they might even talk about them while littering.
