Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) plans to expand the number of e-money users to support the development of cashless transactions.
"Our e-money card user target is 3 million by the end of this year," BRI deputy general manager of liabilities and banking services Imam Subowo said as quoted by kontan.co.id.
At the first quarter of this year, the number of BRI e-money cards stood at 800,000.
BRI plans to cooperate with numerous public transportation providers to intensify its e-money expansion, according to Imam.
