The Obama administration praised Iranians and reproached their government, saying it respected the results of a presidential election conducted under restrictive conditions.
Shortly after moderate cleric Hasan Rohani was declared the winner, White House spokesman Jay Carney said on Saturday that the US congratulated Iranians for their courage in voting. He said Iranians were determined to make their voices heard despite the limitations the ruling government imposed on the political process.
Your comments:
Congratulations to the Iranians. The election passed off without violence and riots and represented the good process of democracy.
Hopefully, Indonesians can do the same thing in the upcoming general elections in 2014.

As long as Khamenei is the highest leader in Iran, then the nuclear program will remain in place.

This is indeed praiseworthy. Democratic institutes in Aceh and Iran do function, supporting Islamic values that also adopt the values of democracy, as represented by vigorous debates while imposing true Islamic values on citizens. We should embrace this approach.
