Text your say: PKS rejects fuel-price hike

Your comments on the rejection by the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), which is part of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's coalition, to the cut the fuel subsidies:Why should anybody trust the PKS anymore? The PKS has only been doing a disservice to itself, ever since people discovered its 'hypocritical' behavior in deceiving people like me, who used to be quite sympathetic to them

Why should anybody trust the PKS anymore?

The PKS has only been doing a disservice to itself, ever since people discovered its 'hypocritical'
behavior in deceiving people like me, who used to be quite sympathetic to them.

Members were mostly young, energetic and reformists in their way of thinking.

But now they have become like any 'vested interest' politician with a hunger for power and money!

Their rejection of the fuel price increase is almost certainly just to deflect people's attention from
the recent corruption cases involving the highest level of PKS leadership.

Before deciding whether fuel subsidy is to be continued or otherwise, let us examine whether the policy is beneficial to our general public.

Through daily observation, the majority of our people remain poor; if not becoming poorer.

The very low fuel-price has been beneficial to foreign countries, who did not mind buying our comparatively low price fuel on the high seas clandestinely.

The world must be thinking how amicable the Indonesian public are, tolerating such transactions only for the benefit of the few. This is acutely embarrassing.

To reduce fuel subsidies or otherwise does not change anything; the poor will remain poor and the corrupt hands (whether individual or for the party) will continue one way or another.

This is a situation where Indonesians can't wait any longer for Jokowi to get to the top position, to stop all these political dirty tricks.

Fuel price hike

The House of Representatives on Monday voted 'yes' on the government's proposal to reduce the fuel subsidy in an effort to ease pressure on the state budget. What do you think?
