The event lasted from Sept. 27 to Oct. 4 and offered a total of ¤9,000 (US$12,218) in cash prizes.

Swedish paraglider Tobiah Hinas nipped at Hirokawa'€™s heels from the first round onward but had to settle for second place in the open category. Female paraglider from the Czech Republic Petra Slivova came in third.

Indonesia'€™s representative Muhammad Rizki Dhermawan finished in 10th place.

In addition to her strong showing in the open category, Slivova also

The group event was dominated by Asian teams, with China finishing first, followed by South Korea and Japan.

A total of 65 athletes from 17 countries participated in the event, which also served as a qualifier for the upcoming Paragliding World Cup event in Brazil next January.
