'We should nurture this spirit, God willing we will be able to win the next election. What good are we if we have lost hope already?' Yudhoyono said in his remark presented at the party consolidation meeting in Sentul, Bogor on Saturday as quoted by kompas.com.
However, Yudhoyono then hinted that extra hard work was required for the party to be able to win the hearts of the people once again. He said internal screening was obligatory in order to create effective yet transparent political work.
In the same stage earlier, Yudhoyono had also stated that he had been bullied by some in the media that had been running unbalanced stories regarding himself and his administration. (dic)
