akarta: Indonesia's junior shuttlecock team came second at the Suhandinata Cup World Junior Mixed Team Championship 2013 in Bangkok on Sunday after being defeated 2-3 by South Korea.
During Sunday's final, Indonesia outscored Korea 2-1 after Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Masita Mahmudin defeated Choi Sol-kyu and Chae Yoo-jung in the mixed doubles event followed by another victory in the men's doubles by Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Arya Maulana Aldiarta, who beat Choi Sol-kyu and Heo Kwang-hee.
However, Jonatan Christie could not continue the winning streak and lost to Jeon Hyuk-jin in the men's singles event. Hanna Ramadini's lost against Kim Hyo-min in the women's singles event and equaled the score of both teams 2-2.
Rosyita Eka Putri Sari and Setyana Daniella Florensia Mapasa, who faced Chae Yoo-jung and Kim Ji-won in the women's doubles event, let the game slip from their grip and lost to the Koreans 18-21, 11-21.
The Suhandinata Cup ' named after Indonesia's badminton figure Suharso Suhandinata ' began at the under-19 world championships in 2009.
