Datsun plans to enter RI car rental market

D

atsun Indonesia, a subsidiary of the Japanese car maker, says that it plans to enter Indonesia'€™s car rental market in a bid to capture domestic demand for rental services.

"We are not going to deploy a lot of cars for this service. We are targeting only 10 percent of our total sales for the service," Datsun Indonesia head Indriani Hadiwidjaja said on the sidelines of the Datsun Go+ Panca test drive event in Cirebon, West Java, as quoted by kompas.com on Friday.

She said that the rental service market was healthy and the company planned to start operating in tourist destinations such as Bali.

It also wants to enter the car rental market for companies, many of which provide car facilities for their employees.

"The prices will be different to when individuals buy cars," she said. (nfo)
