Comments on other issues: Golkar saga continues

F

strong>Feb. 9, Online

The ongoing dispute between two factions of the Golkar Party endures as faction leader Aburizal Bakrie is rejecting a compromise brokered by the party'€™s mahkamah partai (internal dispute settlement committee).

Your comments:

Here'€™s a solution! Disband both parties. Start a new party, perhaps called Golkar Perjuangan, Golkar-P! Then let the members of this new party elect their leaders!

Simple! Job done!

Terry McAsee

Disband this party along with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P). These two ancient dinosaur parties cause more harm to Indonesia than good.

These two parties are the '€œold regime'€ of corrupt, dirty politicians who are in it for themselves and not the country.

The days of former presidents Sukarno and Soeharto are over, history. These two parties are relics of that era and their mentality hasn'€™t evolved '€” Neanderthals in the 21st century.
