ister Ojek, another app-based ojek (motorcycle taxi) company is ready to join the growing industry, saying that it will provide female drivers to meet rising demand for the security of female and child passengers.

On its official website, Sister Ojek, or Sis-O, said it was aware of the love-hate relationship that society had toward ojek. Some ojek drivers are considered very careless on the street but at the same time, the drivers also need to cope with the city'€™s infamous traffic.

'€œOur concept is to respond to the security issue related to woman and children as passengers,'€ Sister Ojek said on its official website.

The company sets Rp 1,000 (US 7 cents) as the initial fare and Rp 2 for every meter aftermaths. It also sets Rp 25,000 as the minimum payment for the first 5 kilometers and a cancellation fee of Rp 5,000.

Following the rising popularity of Go-Jek and Grab Bike, the city has seen the influx of a number of ojek app-based companies including Blu-Jek and Ladyjek.
