he Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) will conclude its final trading day of the year on Friday, with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and legendary Indonesian rock band Slank scheduled to attend the closing bell ceremony.
IDX president director Tito Sulistio said the presidential office had confirmed Jokowi’s attendance at the event.
"We will also invite rock band Slank for the event,” Tito said at the IDX building on Tuesday.

Tito said Vice President Jusuf Kalla would open the first day of trading in 2017 on Jan. 3.
“Last year, the Vice President closed the final trading day [in 2015] and the President opened the first trading day [in 2016]. Now, they have reversed the roles,” he said. (hwa)
