o prevent the distribution of products containing hazardous chemicals, city-owned market operator PD Pasar Jaya has equipped each market management with a test kit.
With the tool, the management heads can regularly check products sold in the markets, said PD Pasar Jaya spokesman Muhammad Fakhri.
Hence, he added, measures could be directly taken if it was suspected a product contained hazardous chemicals.
"We have prepared a test kit so market heads can carry out regular checks," he said as quoted by beritajakarta.com on Tuesday.
He further said market heads had the authority to impose sanctions, from a verbal reprimand to the revocation of operational licenses, on sellers found selling products containing hazardous chemicals. (agn)
