ne teenager identified as Ferdian Fikri, 15, was found dead on Saturday evening following a brawl among soccer fans on Jl. Hasyim Ashari, Buaran Indah subdistrict in Tangerang, Banten.

“One victim died in the incident. He was admitted to an emergency unit at Husada Insani hospital to receive treatment,” Tangerang Police spokesperson Adj. Sr. Comr. Arlon Sitinjak said on Sunday as quoted by tribunnews.com.

He said that the victim died from a stab wound to his chest and wrists.

“We have questioned 11 witnesses in the case,” Arlon said.

Arlon said that the incident occurred after a match between Persita Tangerang versus Sukadiri at Sukadiri Mauk field.

Arlon said that the clash began after approximately 50 Persita fans, who were heading home in three public minivans, were ambushed by an unidentified group of people.

He said the police would carry out further investigation to find the perpetrators and find the motive behind the deadly attack. (fac/dmr)
