hareholders of the country’s largest telecommunications operator company, Telkomsel, have approved a management reshuffle that affects three executive positions in the company.
During the company’s annual shareholders meeting on Friday, Telkomsel shareholders - stated-owned telecommunications and internet provider PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) and Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (Singtel) – reassigned Sukardi Silalahi from his position as network director to sales director, replacing Mas’ud Khamid, who now serves as Telkom consumer service director, tribunnews.com reported.
Bob Apriawan, meanwhile, was appointed the Telkomsel’s new network director, while Irfan Tachrir was appointed to the executive board as human capital management director, replacing Priyantono Rudito.
The management reshuffle is in line with the company’s strategy to strengthen its business, organization and human resources to maintain Telkomsel’s performance and position in the market, it said.
Telkom owns 65 percent of Telkomsel’s shares while the remainder is owned by Singtel. Telkomsel is the biggest contributor to Telkom’s revenue. (ecn/hwa)
