Police officers, civilians being treated at hospitals near scene of attack

Four people injured in Wednesday night’s bomb blasts are currently being treated at the Premier Hospital in Jatinegara, East Jakarta. Meanwhile, four others who suffered injuries in the explosions are being treated at Hermina Hospital.

our people injured in Wednesday night’s bomb blasts are being treated at the Premier Hospital in Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

Meanwhile, four others who suffered injuries in the explosions are being treated at Hermina Hospital.

Both hospitals are located less than a kilometer from the Kampung Melayu bus station in East Jakarta, the scene of the attack.

Premier Hospital spokesman Sukendar said two police officers and two civilians were undergoing intensive medical treatment.

"One requires immediate surgery," Sukendar said.

Sukendar said one police officer, Second Brig. Taufan, was killed in the attack.

His body is now in the hospital’s morgue.

At Hermina Hospital, two police officers and two civilians are being treated for injuries sustained in the attack.
