Three people suffered injuries from a gas explosion at a restaurant kitchen in Pondok Gede, Bekasi, on Tuesday afternoon.
The victims, Alim, Yono and Sandi, were employees of Raja Fried Chicken fast food restaurant in Atrium Pondok Gede shopping mall and were preparing food for customers when a 50-kilogram gas canister exploded, said Bekasi Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Erna Ruswing Andari.
“The victims were rushed to Kurnia Asih and Asrama Haji hospitals,” Erna said.
The explosion destroyed some portions of the restaurant. (dra)
