Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno inaugurated 861 new civil servants for the Jakarta administration at City Hall on Tuesday morning.
"All civil servants must understand the vision and mission of the Jakarta administration's program for the next five years, and implement them in all your daily assignments ladies and gentlemen," Sandiaga advised them as quoted in wartakota.tribunnews.com report.
Jakarta city secretary Saefullah said in September that the administration lacked civil servants as there had been no recruitment for the past four years following a moratorium from central government.
"Whereas, 2,000 to 4,000 civil servants retire every year," Saefullah said. (yon)
