he Depok Police in West Java have rescued a baby allegedly kidnapped in Depok and arrested two individuals accused of committing the crime.
"We have detained two suspects; the interrogation of them is ongoing," Depok Police chief Comr. Bintoro told kompas.com on Monday.
The one-month old baby had reportedly been kidnapped while its mother, Marlina, had left her house for less than 10 minutes on Friday to visit a nearby shop.
Marlina, a resident of Sukmajaya, Depok, admitted that she had left her house without locking the front door, while the baby and his 9-year-old sister were napping side by side. Marlina’s husband had been at work when the incident occurred.
Bintoro said the two suspects had been arrested on Jl. Proklamasi in Sukmajaya, Depok, on Monday morning. (fac)
