Actress Tara Basro has said that, even after eight years of acting, she still finds it hard to be in kissing scenes.
“Kissing scenes are really awkward,” Tara said as quoted by kompas.com.
In a new web series called Halustik, Tara kisses actor Richard Kyle, who is one of her best friends in real life, in a scene.
Tara said that her friendship with Richard made it easier for her to kiss him.
“The kiss would have been much more awkward if it was with someone I didn’t know,” Tara said.
Tara added that she and her peers remained professional whenever they needed to kiss one another for a scene.
“For the sake of the story and the chemistry between the characters, it is sometimes necessary to have kissing scenes.”
