The police found the dead body of a woman in a cupboard in a rented room on Jl. Mampang Prapatan 8, South Jakarta, on Tuesday.
Mampang Police chief Comr. Triharijadi said the woman was likely to have been murdered based on the condition of the body.
"There were some wounds [on the body],” Triharijadi said on Tuesday as reported by kompas.com.
He added that the police had taken the woman's body to Fatmawati Hospital for an autopsy.
The police are currently scouring the crime scene where the body was found and questioning locals in the area. (ami)
