epok, West Java, has prepared a special angkot (public minivan) route as a feeder service for the MRT station in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, as part of the rerouting of the city’s public transportation to support the MRT and light rail transit (LRT).
Depok Transportation Agency transportation unit head Anton Tofani Muharram said on Monday that the new Mikrolet 102 route would start at Sawangan bus terminal and travel via Limo and Cinere before ending at Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta, and vice versa.
“[We’ve received the] permit from the BPTJ [Greater Jakarta Transportation Agency],” Anton said as reported by tempo.co.
He said the agency had also prepared additional feeder routes for the LRT station in Cibubur, East Jakarta.
“The central government and LRT operator must help us to provide stopping areas for passengers to get on and off,” Anton said.
Depok Transportation Agency head Dadang Wihana said the agency would also modify the existing angkot routes to serve LRT stations in Jakarta, Bogor and Depok.
The MRT is expected to start operating in March 2019, while the LRT in Jakarta is expected to begin operating in January 2019.
