“The incident happened at 10 a.m. and did not cause any congestion,” state-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga spokesperson Hendra Damanik said as quoted by kompas.com.
The incident, Hendra added, occurred when the driver of a Suzuki APV allegedly dozed off and then suddenly hit the break. Three drivers behind him failed to anticipate the sudden stop, hence the accident.
Although the incident caused no casualty, the four cars involved sustained minor damage.
Officers from the Jakarta Police highway patrol rushed to the scene to check the incident and regulate traffic. (vla)
