As of today, according to information I have received, and I hope it will stay this way, no one has been infected with coronavirus in Indonesia,” Jokowi said.
resident Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said on Friday that he had ordered Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto to increase vigilance regarding the new coronavirus, which first emerged late last year in the city of Wuhan in China.
“We should be ready to examine everyone entering Indonesia or anyone who potentially carries the virus in their body,” he said.
“However, as of today, according to information I have received, and I hope it will stay this way, no one has been infected with coronavirus in Indonesia,” he added.
Terawan previously dismissed reports of a suspected case of coronavirus in Jakarta. Another suspected patient, however, is under observation at Sulianti Suroso Infection Hospital. Officials said results of a lab test would be released in two to three days.
