The Health Ministry announced 5,092 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 543,975.

According to data released by the ministry on Tuesday, 136 more people have died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 17,081.

The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 454,879.

The ministry reported that 37,692 people were tested on Tuesday, bringing the total number of people tested to 3,865,412.

The capital city recorded 1,058 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 137,919. Meanwhile, West Java reported 878 new cases, Central Java 730, East Java 430, Central Kalimantan 190 and Riau 163.

The virus has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces. (kmt/kuk)
