Air travel, for instance, requires passengers to get tested for the coronavirus just before their flight. Only passengers with test results that are negative for the coronavirus, or nonreactive in the case of a rapid test, are allowed to board a plane.

For passengers’ convenience, a drive-thru rapid test service has been available at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, since July.

Provided by online travel startup Traveloka, the drive-thru rapid test service enables would-be passengers to take a rapid test. And, should the test result be nonreactive, the passenger can complete their travel requirements and they are permitted to board the plane.

Regarding the test offered by Traveloka, which is a rapid antibody test, it costs Rp 99,000 (US$ 7) per person.

Those who want to get tested can register online in advance, or on site at the testing location. One should allow 30 to 45 minutes for the process to be completed, from queuing for registration to receiving the test result.
