atam, Riau Islands, is set to celebrate International Jazz Day on April 30 with an evening of jazz entertainment at Goodies Poolside Restaurant.
The event will include talk shows and performances by Sheila Majid, Soukma, Geliga, the Asian Rhythm Project, Lightcraft, Ikkubaru and a string of local jazz bands.

“For this event, we are aiming to attract hundreds of visitors from Singapore and Malaysia," said head of Batam Jazz Society (BJS) Gardiana.
The island has celebrated International Jazz Day every year since 2014 as the official partner of UNESCO and the Thelonius Monk Institute of Jazz. (asw)
