Year-end events to attend in Bali

The following are among events set to take place in December.

espite the volcanic activity at Mount Agung since September, Bali is still considered safe. The island’s governor, Made Mangku Pastika, said recently that the level 4 emergency status was only being applied to areas within an 8-kilometer radius of Mt. Agung’s crater, while Ngurah Rai International Airport had resumed operations.

Additionally, big events are still on schedule in Bali, especially as part of year-end celebrations. The following are among events set to take place in December:

Charli XCX at Mulia

United Kingdom pop queen Charli XCX, the “Boys” and “Boom Clap” crooner, will give a special performance on Dec. 31 at the grand ballroom of Mulia Resort in Nusa Dua, Bali, during the resort’s countdown event. Accommodation package is available that includes breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner for two.

SAGA Music Festival

The first installment of SAGA Music Festival is set to be held for two days, from Dec. 28 to 29, at GWK Cultural Park, Bali. Among the headliners are Swedish duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso, French DJ Snake and American DJ/producer KSHMR. Dutch DJ MaRLo will be the event’s special guest and French multi-instrumentalist French Kiwi Juice (FKJ) will perform during the Sunset Session. Tickets can be purchased via online ticket seller, with prices starting at Rp 650,000 (US$45).

Finns Beach Club NYE

Australian duo Flight Facilities, German award-winning DJ Claptone and Australian singer-songwriter Hayden James are scheduled to play at Finns Beach Club NYE on Dec. 31. Located at Finns Beach Club, Badung regency, Bali, the event will start at 3 p.m. Those who want to attend the event should book tickets via the venue’s official website, with prices starting at Rp 1 million.

Tribe: NYE 2017

Potato Head Beach Club in Badung regency, Bali, will hold a New Year’s Eve party on Dec. 31 that begins at  4 p.m. The event will feature UK-based funk four-piece The Cuban Bothers, British DJ/producer Pete Herbert and the venue’s residences Paul T, Dean Dixon as well as Stuart Mclellan. A secret guest is also set to attend the party. Tickets can be purchased through the venue’s official website, with prices starting at Rp 1.4 million. (kes)
