ock band Guns N’ Roses (GNR) is set to perform at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday, Nov. 8.

The concert will kick off the band’s Not in This Lifetime tour in Asia, and will also be the first international concert at GBK since it underwent major renovations ahead of the 2018 Asian Games.

The Not in This Lifetime tour is special because it will see guitarist Saul “Slash” Hudson and bassist Duff McKagan take the stage with Axl Rose and Dizzy Reed for the first time since the Use Your Illusion tour in 1993, a quarter of a century ago.

Ron Chamberlain, tour representative and GNR production manager, told a press conference at GBK Main Stadium on Tuesday that the band was excited and ready to perform at GBK, Kompas.com reported.

“We have seen the venue and are very happy,” Chamberlain was quoted as saying, “the members can’t wait to perform.”

Chamberlain also revealed that in order to give the best performance during the three-hour concert, GNR had brought all its equipment and crew members.

“50 crew members, 40 tons of cargo for sound and lighting,” he said.

GNR members Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and Melissa Reese have reportedly arrived in Jakarta.

“This is a reunion tour and everyone is already here,” Adib Hidayat, a representative of promoter Third Eye Management, told Tempo.co on Tuesday. (iru/mut)
