AKARTA: Amid growing demands for houses and increasing penetration of internet services, more Indonesians go to websites offering information about houses, a property portal says.
Harlow Russel, president director of Rumah.com, a portal offering information about properties including homes, commercial, land and industries, said that the portal experienced growing visits recently.
“Last month, the number of visits to Rumah.com hit more than 1 million. It’s evident that Rumah.com is Indonesians’ choice in the property space to look for property,” Russell said in a written statement on Friday.
Russell said that the growing visits were in line with the growth in internet usage this year as reported by an insight study of MarkPlus which found that Indonesia’s internet users reach 55 million, increasing by about 30 percent from 42 million last year.
“I believe the number of visits to our website will be tripled in the next 12 months,” Russell said.
