After 13 years in the music business, pop band Nidji is seeking a new venture. 'We really want to be in a movie. We prefer action movies with cool fighting scenes,' vocalist Giring said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Thursday.
The group, consisting of Giring, guitarists Rama and Ariel, bassist Andro, drummer Andro and Randy on keyboard, was once offered a role on the silver screen.
'We had to turn it down because we didn't think the script and pay fit us. Shooting time requires a break from performing and it may take a month. It's the business side we have to take care of,' said Giring.
Band members, whose songs have been used in many a movie soundtrack, said they were hoping for a movie with a plot that would leave a good impression on viewers.
'We don't want to be token celebrities to sell a movie. We expect a movie that we would want to watch over again, that lasts for our children to watch it in the future.'
