Subscription Terms & Conditions

The Jakarta Post Subscription Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) applies to You, the subscriber of The Jakarta Post, which includes Print and/or Digital Subscription.

Print subscription is a paid subscription of The Jakarta Post in hard copy product, which is The Jakarta Post Newspaper. Digital subscription is a paid subscription that gives access to The Jakarta Post’s premium articles available at www.thejakartapost.com.

We may change this Terms and Conditions from time to time, and we suggest you to check before subscribing. Should you have any question, don’t hesitate to contact us through [email protected]

  • Initial Date of Subscription

    When we give you verification e-mail confirming your payment and providing the link to our website, your subscription for The Jakarta Post will start. For Print subscription, we will start delivering our newspaper to you in 3 days maximum.

  • Right to Refuse Subscription Order

    We reserve the right not to accept or process your subscription purchasing for any reason. All orders are subject to validation checks and authorization. If we do not accept your order but you card has already been debited, we will notify you and refund your card in full immediately.

  • Pricing and Payments

    Subscription prices are in IDR or USD (unless stated otherwise). Your payment details must be verified before your subscription can be activated. If we have not received your payment, your subscription may be suspended or terminated.

    It is your responsibility to ensure the card you have provided is valid. If no payment is received within the period of 3 (three) days, your subscription will be canceled. You agree to pay the price stipulated within the time you order.

    We reserve the right to change the prices and fees at any time without notification and to modify or discontinue our Service (or any part thereof). Promotion and discount eligibility are determined at the time of purchasing. If we discover an error in the price of your order, we will inform you as soon as possible. You will have the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled and will refund you in full if already paid.

    If you are under 18 or are not using your own credit/debit card to pay for the subscription, you must ask the permission of the credit/debit card holder before entering the payment details. By clicking "Submit" you are confirming that you have obtained prior permission of the credit/debit card holder.

  • Renewals

    Our subscription is not automatically renewed and will expire at the end of its term; therefore, we will need you to check regularly if your subscription period is ending. If you would like to find out when your subscription will be ended, please log in and you can see the information at the top-right of the home page.

    Renewal charges could be applied to the card previously provided on your account unless you deselect or cancel your subscription.

  • Subscription Refunds or Cancelation

    Digital subscription is not refundable and we also suggest you to read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use to prevent misuse of your account. If there is misuse detected, your subscription might be terminated and you will not be able to refund.

  • General Terms

    We will not be liable to you to any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Service provided by third-party that might be affiliated within the subscription service. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the layout, colors and images of our products that appear at the website. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display will be accurate.

This Terms and Conditions is governed by Indonesian law. By purchasing our subscription, you also irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Indonesian courts notwithstanding the jurisdiction where you are based.
