The Most Fashionable Summer Party in Bali

The Jakarta Post

Seminyak, Bali

Popular fashion brand ARTURRO and noted swimwear brand Niconico recently hosted a summer party at Alila Seminyak hotel. More than 700 guests from all over the globe -- including from Jakarta and Surabaya in East Java, Perth in Australia, Istanbul in Turkey, Hong Kong and France -- attended the spectacular party.

Organized on Aug. 18, the summer party, comprising fashion shows and parties, was held following the success of the same event last year. The event itself was modeled after the Studio 54 in New York. During the party, guests donned outfits designed by ARTURRO and flocked at the hotel’s pool bar area to enjoy exciting offerings ranging from cocktails and espresso to Veuve Clicquot champagne and Alben Cider.

.

The party also drew a number of high-profile guests, with the likes of television personality and celebrity chef Farah Quinn, fashionista Patty Kaunang, a chef Chris Salans of Mozaic Ubud, Tunku Myra of Malaysia, corporate maven Ralf Ohletz Graf von Plettenberg and many more. The guests were greeted with a showcase of the latest Jaguar car right in front of the resort’s lobby entrance.

The party was opened by Indonesian supermodel Aline Adita, who also wore an ARTURRO dress and delivered a warm welcoming speech to open the first phase of the party, which was the fashion show.

The fashion show was conducted in an artsy manner, with electric violin played by professional violinist German Dmitriev backing up an array of models who lined the catwalk, displaying the latest collections from both ARTURRO and Niconico. The models were exquisitely styled thanks to excellent makeup and hair-styling by Rob Peetom.

ARTURRO’s latest resort wear collection for women, as presented by the models, showcases dresses featuring various colorful prints and sexy-yet-flowing cuts. The men’s collection showcased during the show, meanwhile, features colorful print shorts and vibrant polo shirts.

.

At the same show, the fashion brand also showcased its cocktail collection featuring laces in black and red on gold. For this particular collection, the male models wore shorts in a more formal color tone combined with floral print shirt as well as various linen and cotton blazer. The whole collection embodies a sense of sensuality, style and a touch of island chic look.

The brand’s final – and highly sought-after – session on the catwalk featured a collection of stunning dresses inspired by the flamenco culture. For women, the collection comprises sequin dresses in black, gold as well as red with patterns of red roses and dark laces as an accent. The male collection, meanwhile, comprises silk satin long pants, floral prints and velvet dinner jacket. For both sexes, the collection attempts to create a romantic, glamorous and sexy vibe.

In the final session of the fashion show, just before the guests headed to the party in the hotel’s ballroom, they took a chance to capture some group photographs with the designers behind ARTURRO’s products: Arturro Eggo and Nico Genze. Then, the party started with DJ Asad Ardie playing dance music reverberating across the ballroom.

Apparently, the party succeeded in creating a Studio 54 feel, with Fashion TV on the spot reporting the fun on the scene. Veuve Clicquot champagne graced the tables of all the guests present there, enlivening the party beat.
