nsurance company PT AIA Financial (AIA) is back with its nationwide soccer campaign AIA Sepak Bola Untuk Negeri (AIA Soccer for the Nation). After two years, AIA is resuming its coaching clinic for young soccer players in over twenty regions, including Bandung, Lampung, Manado, Ambon, Tulehu, Palembang, Makassar, Labuan Bajo, Papua and Lombok. On Tuesday, AIA made a stop in Bali to gather one hundred youngsters aged 8 to 10 for a training session and ball donation. This time, AIA is bringing two international development coaches from Tottenham Hotspurs, Shannon Chole Moloney and Jerome Joseph Baker.
"We are proud to be part of [AIA Sepak Bola Untuk Negeri] and continue empowering talented soccer players, especially children. Initiatives like these are very important for scouting and nurturing future Indonesian soccer stars," said Shannon.
The campaign is bound for other cities, including Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya and Malang, for this year's campaign. Through the program, AIA also sponsored a Women's League One team, Persija Putri.
In 2019, AIA Sepak Bola Untuk Negeri was awarded Best Sports CSR Program at the Asia Sports Industry Awards.
