To demonstrate the advantage of the New and Improved Shell V-Power to Indonesian customers, Shell Indonesia collaborated with Indonesian motorcyclists to experience the real difference before and after using Shell V-Power, in a program called Shell V-Power Riders Program, held from June 2023 to October 2023. In this program, 14 motorcyclists with high mobility who have never used Shell fuel before, are asked to only use Shell V-Power in every full-tank fill and carry out their activities as usual.
The condition of the critical parts of their engines underwent examination before joining the program (before they used fuel from Shell) and after four months of using Shell V-Power. During this period, Shell Indonesia partnered with Otorider, a motorcycle consumer automotive media, to document the experiences of Shell V-Power Riders Program participants.
After four months, the changes experienced by the participants of the Shell V-Power Riders Program are exceptional. Before using Shell fuel, the critical parts of the participants’ engines (intake valves ) were filled with performance-robbing deposits. After using Shell V-Power fill after fill, re-inspection showed that the performance-robbing deposits in the critical part of the engine had been cleared to 100% - even the vital parts of the vehicle's engine looked like they were new. The driving experience of these participants also improved. They experience improved and steadier acceleration, and a more powerful engine.*B
