resident-elect Prabowo Subianto warned members of the opposition camp on Thursday not to impede the work of his incoming administration, as the country would be embarking on the difficult journey of creating prosperity for its people.

Speaking at the national coordination meeting of the National Mandate Party (PAN) on Thursday night, Prabowo said everyone should come together and join in the work of his upcoming administration, especially his child hunger elimination project.

"For those who don't want to join us, that's fine. If they want to see the show from the side of the road, please be good viewers. But for those who don't want to work with us, don't disturb us," he said.

Prabowo said the key to progress in the country was having its political elites work together to find solutions to problems at hand.

"There's no stopping Indonesia, but the problem is that the progress has been held back by the lack of cooperation among its elites," Prabowo said to applause from the audience of PAN members and leaders.

He added that few Indonesians were benefitting from the country's rich natural resources simply because there was no cooperation for optimal resource management.
